Eutopia Rising operates a private event space, Horizon, just a few short blocks from the Barclays Center in Downtown Brooklyn.
Horizon is located on the third floor of a mixed block of residents and businesses. It is only accessible through a discreet door and is up a flight of 30 steps. A hallway, entrance door, and second entry hallway lead into an evolving space once used primarily for lifestyle events but suitable for art, performance, private parties, and community gatherings.
Horizon consists of 2400 square feet including a main large room with an 18′ wide stage in the corner, a bar, skylights, and custom load-bearing ceiling rafters. There are additionally two side rooms, a storage room, and a bathroom. Our aesthetic is black and red post-industrial overlaid with hope-punk, including a whimsical space mural and ongoing installations. Our furniture includes 54 folding chairs, 5 tables, two futon beds, a couch, a large beanbag, various inflatable beds and lounge chairs, coat and bag storage, and several special pieces. We have a high quality ambient sound system, and are equipped to screen video either on a large projector screen or one of several smaller flatscreen monitors. We have house fluorescent lighting as well as color-changing LED ambient lights and rope lights. It’s a flexible, spacious and unique venue!
Horizon is available for rental for events friendly to Eutopia Rising’s mission, with negotiable pricing depending on the time of week, scale, staffing needs, and other variables. For example: a 40-person party on a Saturday night starts at $300/hour, while a Tuesday daytime rehearsal with 5 people could be $50/hour or lower.
